They played whist Distractedly.
it was molly monster's birthday this past weekend, on the 8th. molly is one of my most favoritest people in the whole world. she had a 'white trash birthday party' in the park, and i brought my camera. i didn't actually take that many pictures, but luckily angela found my camera and went to town. almost all the pictures turned out really great. i love my new digital camera (thanks mom and dad! it was the perfect xmas present!)
on that note, it was my birthday last month. i turned 31. it was actually the best birthday i ever had - partially due to the fact that i managed to drag the festivities on for three whole days and nights. woot! i need to make a similar photo gallery for the pics from my bday party, heh. oops. yeah, i'll do it soon. right.
my radio station, indie pop rocks on somaFM, is the top online indie station, the number two college station, and currently at number 46 for all shoutcast stations. i think that pretty much rules. *beaming like a proud mama* and for kicks, i just did a google search for 'indie pop rocks on somafm' and came up with all these bloggers and articles written about the station(s) (aside from my own, even!) damn, i had no idea. i'm all smiley now, having read some of them.
i also got a bunch of new station ids from cute indie rawk stars last week during the noisepop festival (sort of like san francisco's [much] smaller version of sxsw), which should be going up soon with a bunch of new music. i actually volunteered and worked the noisepop festival this year, as 'cute merch girl'. it was really fun - i'm already planning on doing it again next year. :) the festival on the whole was excellent this year, although i really thought the lineups were better last year.
i've had lots of visitors lately - lucky me! my parents came to visit last weekend, my little (well, not so little, but definitely younger) brother pete is here now, and in less than two weeks a couple of my favorite scots are coming. yay! this is definitely one of the bonuses to living in san francisco... everyone's always willing to come visit.
it's spring here in san francisco. the cherry trees, plum trees, daffodils, etc. are blooming, and the wisteria is almost ready to go. i love spring, in more ways than just the flowers... *grin*
