shit, i've been busy
so, i'm in the middle of starting this new company, with my friends dave, cliff, annette, merin, and elise (yes, another elise... weird, huh?) the thing about starting a new company, it turns out, is that it's a lot of work. it's good work, you know you're doing it for you, but it's a lot of work nonetheless. i'm enjoying it, even when i'm pacing about trying to figure something out, or pacing about avoiding doing something that seems unfun. it's rather different than working for someone else, is pretty much what i gotta say about it. and no, there's nothing to show you yet. soon, tho, there will be, and i will post a link here.
in the meantime, the number one thing i've been doing other than working is walking. i like walking, and it just happens to be exercise, which is like a special bonus. while i'm walking, i get to see all kinds of things, and experience all kinds of other things - like a nightly car-honk when i walk on this one block of 17th on my way home, by some hopeful guy thinking i might be a ho. uh, nope, not a ho. sorry, dude. dunno why my hoodie, jeans, boots, and headphones said "ho" to you.
so, since i need to get my ass to bed, and don't have time to fill you in on the incredible mind-blowing delights of new software i've learned in the past month, i will instead give you photos of my two current favorite pieces of street graffitti:

i don't think this one needs any explanation. i like that a stranger is being supportive!

i'm not sure you can fully see what's going on in this one: it says "TOFU", and the U has been turned into a smiley face (yay tofu!), with an arrow pointing at the "mouth" part of the smiley (like "this is where you put the tofu for your happy-smiley-ness!"). oh so good.
