i liked my last entry of the 'top things' to have happened. i think i'll do it again.
top three things to happen in the past week and a half:
went to minnesota to visit. got to see french friends, laurent and christophe, who were also visiting at the same time. got to ride jetskis on the lake, go on a speedboat ride, lay about in the sun, sit around bonfires, nap, and read books. it was nice, minus the crappy stuff that happened (see below). djing on tuesday night at the casanova. lots of old and new friends showed up, and it was really fun, even though i probably shouldn't have had any whiskey. oops. heh. (fyi: next elise dj gig is tuesday september 9th, also at the casanova). burning man prep. boy am i ever getting excited! i love making costumes and having a 'good' excuse to buy wigs and chiffon. woot!
top three crappy things to happen in the past week and a half:
gramma having a heart attack while i was visiting in minnesota. she's ok now, but still. totally sucky.
my friend tom getting a DUI and thus thrown in jail while i was visiting in minnesota, a week after his mom died. ugh. i didn't even get to see him while i was there.
listening to my 92-year-old grampa complain about wasting four years of his life serving in world war two. he doesn't think he did any good being there, and he also thinks that all the war stuff going on right now is complete bullshit. have to agree with him there.
